Immediate Relief for Anal Fissures
An anal fissure is a common and painful condition appearing as a small tear near the external anal opening. The tear exposes the underlying internal anal sphincter muscle, which then goes into spasm. Chemical Sphincterotomy is an in-home procedure in which the patient uses a science-based pharmacological sphincter relaxant to relax the internal anal sphincter muscle. Chemical Sphincterotomy has become increasingly popular as a first therapeutic option in patients with fissures.
Chemical Sphincterotomy uses pharmacological sphincter relaxants such as calcium channel blockers (Diltiazem, Nifedipine) and topical nitrates (nitroglycerine gel) whose action on the internal anal sphincter causes it to relax and thereby eliminates the pain and begins the healing of the anal fissure.
OrigynRx has developed a unique and proprietary delivery device (DoseRite™ Delivery System) that includes an entire day’s dosing of fissure medication in a disposable syringe. The reusable, multi-dose device allows the user to blindly dispense precisely one dose at a time into the anus through a unique, disposable, side-slotted tip (AccuTip™).
