Not all sinus infections are the same.
Acute Rhinosinusitis – a combination of
two or more of the following symptoms
lasting up to four weeks and typically caused
by bacterial infection:
- Sneezing
- Runny nose
- Stuffy nose
- Fever
Chronic Rhinosinusitis (CRS) – a chronic
inflammatory disorder of the nasal and sinus
passages. CRS is generally resistant to
therapy with antibiotics and glucocorticoids.
Nasal Polyps – fleshy swellings or masses
that develop in the lining of the nose. Polyps
can vary in size, shape and color and normally
appear in both nostrils and grow in clusters.
